iF is a distribution of Max externals that  analyses and generates improvisation sequences .
     It eventually allows any improviser, to conceive an interact with the computer as well as with a collective.
     iF is based on rewriting rules ( a composition technic borrowed from a branch of music analysis ) .

  iF allows the system to generate infinite changes in musical key levels (melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, ...), from musical proposals . These variations can be generated from both improvised idiomatic languages (various styles ), as well as non idiomatic ones.
Actually, none of the musical softwares developped in this category takes into account musical improvisation constraints and complexities of real time responses generation.
Beyond the purely artistic matter, iF has a strong educational orientation in the sens that it allows students to practice gradually improvisation fundamentals  and to sharp their listening and reaction skills.
iF development started in October 2010 during a residence at Nicéphore Cité (France) , and continued  in partnership with music Conservatory classes (Chalon-sur-Saone, France).

iF first beta realase is planed for December 2011.
